"Skittles- SU Top Note Bag

Okay...this is another version of the Top Note Purse that I just made.....I call it a "Skittles" bag.

I think I have gone "Top Note" crazy.....(hehe..)........As I was making the purse....I looked on one of my workstations and saw the skittles I colored with Alcohol ink last week to send to one of my MB buddies. She was out of them and needed a few more to carry her thru. These are "mini" skittles. I figured I'd color enough for her to last for a little while depending on how much she used them......and still give her a variety of color........My problem was what to send them in..........A few weeks ago I sent some for a swap and placed them in another small plastic baggie......But this time........because they were a gift ...I wanted them in a cute package. Mystery solved........ I think this is tooo cute. (hehe...) And you know.....I just had a thought......(hehe...) I can make a lot of these and have them ready to put in "swap" packages.....b-day gifts,etc.....I am sure someone else have done this....but I have not seen it.......Now I have seen these purses with note cards, business cards etc....but not with skittles.....So Yeah...... I decided to use mine for "skittles". I think this is a great idea.........So.....What do you think??????.....TFL.....

And all of the "mini" skittles fit securely in the purse.......

SU- Gift Certificate Purses

I made these purses last week using the Top Note Die from SU...and boy am I glad I did not post them then. I took a picture of them and looked at the picture later......I had to laugh (hehe...)....my dimensions were off "quite" a bit......What was I thinking?????
But anywho....I looked at a few Youtube videos. I cannot give credit to "one" specific persons video because there are so many out there and I saw so many variations on this "lil purse"( it is cute huh?????...Loving that Top Note......).....And, I also watched quite a few videos to get the correct dimensions.
These are great for a simple gift certificate as a present when you cannot decide what to buy.......Can you say "Xmas gifts for the ladies"???? They can also be used to hold business cards and are great giveaways if doing a crop, teaching a class or even at a convention or swarm. I had fun doing these and finally after doing them correctly, found that they are rather easy to make. Okay...I'm off to try another variation of this Top Note technique making a different style purse.....Hopefully, I 'll get it right the first time......(hehe)......TFL

My Very First "Altered Mailbox"- For a Boy

So...I finally made a mailbox....I decided to make the "boys" mailbox first because I always seem to make my DGD's things first and then I am stuck and cannot figure what to do to change the gender of it.......So I think I have this one down.....I really don't have to change the colors....but I really thought these colors worked well for a boy......What do you think....Did I get it right?????

"Tis the Season" Christmas Card

"Thanksgiving Weekend Crop"- Card Organizer

I think this "Thanksgiving Weekend Crop" is becoming tradition.......Since I introduced my sisters to scrapbooking...not only do we meet for weekend crops from time to time throughout the year .....but, we always crop the entire Thanksgiving weekend......It's just so much fun and we get to spend quality time with one another........well, really , it's a "Just Us Guurrls" weekend because ....we literally spend the entire weekend----Just us girls----- Scrappin'.....eating, talking, etc., but you get the picture.....I always look forward to our long "Thanksgiving" weekend......
This organizer was made by Carol.... The theme for the weekend crop was "Christmas Cards"....We were to make christmas cards using Embossing Folders and Die Cuts, Martha Stewart Punches and Metallic Posterboard.....It is always amazing to me the number of cards Carol makes each time we get together........I seriously think she has an "elf" in her bag........

These two were created by Judy........She has this thing about "ALL COLORS" matching exactly.....So a lot of her time is totally devoted to getting those exact colors...( Can you say "Anal"???? (Hehe).......But.....Her final products are always "stunning".......She is sooooo going to kill me.....
This is Sherly's organizer.....She is our "Decoupage Queen"....She will "Decoupage" anything.....Suprisingly........She did not decoupage "a thing"......."Hey Sherly........What's up with that"?????
And last, but not least.....I, (yes...Ms_Dee) made these organizers....I made the green one before I left for the Thanksgiving Holiday...because I had to make it first in order to give them instructions.....and ....to make sure it was a easy enough challenge to do......and It was....The other one...I made at the crop.....
And a pic of all the finished projects............"Great Job"...Everyone......

We had quite a few challenges and did quite well with all of them...I was quite pleased with the chrstmas card organizer that we put together. I got the instructions from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j61q823ghb8 . Thanks Dannie Graves. The instructions were easy to follow and the end product was great. Myself and one of the other girls, Judy, made a couple of the organizers and all of us plan to make more...These make great gifts and are also great for storing cards and other projects.

I took the Pics of these during the Thanksgiving weekend and I am just posting for the first time since the Thanksgiving holidays.....It's been a while since I took the pics so I hope I got it right.....
