Whewwwww.....I actually completed this thing....And it was no easy task......I started this Acrylic Album a couple of weeks ago....Making the album was soooo easy.....(See instructions below), Decorating it????? Well...that was a different story. Once I started decorating it, I realized that I had to decorate the back so that it complimented the front and vice versa...(being that the pages are clear..).... Believe me when I say it was not an easy thing to do, but....today...I completed it, with the help of my "Bestest Friend Forever"(BFF), my sweetie of 6 years. He took the pics of me and I took the pics of him that I used for this album.......He also "inspired" me somewhat....I like the final product. This also completes my July challenges.....Yeah....I completed a monthly challenge....
Supplies
sheet of acrylic from Home Depot...(18"x24" sheet - $6.28). I was able to cut 3 albums from each sheet..(4 pages each album).

Cute album!! I have one of these that I need to do, but feel a little intimidated by it....I like how you did yours.
This Stationary Card Set is very cute. I love it. It would make a great gift for anyone. Thanks so much for sharing!
Looks really complicated! Lots of preplanning needed I suspect. I love the rickrac frame you used and the clock embellishment. Everything pops out at you. Thanks for sharing your blog!

This is beautiful! I have an acrylic album my husband made me from some leftover acrylic that he had. I'm glad to hear the edges smooth easily with sandpaper.
Great inspiration! I'm going to get mine started.

I am just loving that acrylic album. One day I'll get brave and try my hand at making one. Good Job.

I have thought it looked hard to decorate an acrylic album. It is so much easier when you have another big sheet of 12 x 12 covering the back of something so you don't have to worry about hiding anything...and how it will look on the other side. You did a wonderful job.
Oh, and thanks for the tips on how to make an album from Home Depot materials. I was wondering if you could get something from there to make your own acrylic blocks for stamping as well...have you done that yet?
Dee this album is the best! I love it!
Love your album. Haven't tried one of these yet. This may be my next challenge! It's so pretty. Leanne

WOW Fabulous! Clearly beautiful. I have done an acrylic card and that was hard enough to match front and back on this is amazing.
Ms Dee - once again I have been inspired by you. I knew I didn't want to try an acrylic album at the price they are selling for, but with your idea to get a sheet from Home Depot, I had to try it. Unfortunately, they were $7 something at the Home Depot I went to (as opposed to your $6 something)...but I think I can manage. Any special hints on the cutting/sanding process? Do you remember what grit sandpaper you used?
Thanks so much for the inspiration. I am excited to try it out!
This is amazing. I didn't read and first thought it was just transparent paper. Now it's wow, so much work had to have been put into it. I like the idea, scared of my clumsy butt dropping it on myself lol
Really nice! I'm intimidated by the acrylic albums but you've given me some inspiration.
Wow, wow, wow! I tried cutting a sheet of acrylic tonight with a ruler and box cutter and did not have any success. You must be one buff woman! I even using a Dremel (but it just melted the acrylic...whoops!) Anyway, you are amazing. I don't know what to do besides find someone who I can pay to cut it. Did you just use a regular box cutter or a glass cutter? How many times did you have to score that puppy to get it to pop? I bought the thinnest acrylic they had at Home Depot and apparently I need some help!
