An "Elegant Shoe"....... inspired by Terri @ Artful Affirmations

This was going to be my first project during the weekend IF we were FURLOUGHED..........Well, luckily things worked out ....soooo since I had planned to keep myself busy scrapbooking all weekend anyway.........I decided to go with my  Scrapbook weekend plans.

I was inspired by Terri @ Artful  Affirmations blogspot to make this gorgeous paper project... I found her video on youtube.....And wow.....wow....wow....wow..... her blog is very impressive and sooooo inspirational.  I hope she doesn't mind  me mentioning her site here....AND.... I really hope she doesn't mind that  I "miniaturized" her shoe.....I thought it would be a clever way to add the shoe to  the front of a mini album.....(And... it is still super cute...IMO)
I am posting pics of the original size of the shoe I made  and lots of the lil miniature ones.  I searched and searched youtube.....but other than her shoe....there were only a few other videos that I could find (but they all used Terri's video and pattern)....And yes...the few that I found   were also very  inspiring.....Loads of Marie Antnoinette style shoes, that were dressed up to suit many different occassions.  I even ran across two videoswhere someone made them for a swap....Excellent work ladies....Well,  thank you Terri for the video....and the pattern.  All of the videos that I watched used Terri's pattern and  her video.....so any of the videos will direct you to her blog as I have done here... .....

I plan to make mini albums and place the shoes on the front....and hang small tags from them...As I indicated before she has the pattern on her blog...The pattern is very easy to follow......and so is the video.  Again...Thanks Terri.....

The original pattern makes a 7.5" shoe...... the middle shoe is the one I miniaturized,,,(hehe..)...It measures 4.5.
(Click on pics for larger image)

And here are the others I made smaller.....

The top shoe is the larger pattern

Both of these shoes are 4.5".

So are these........

The red and blue shoe on the top are 7.5 " ...all the others are 4.5"....Cute huh?????....I used DS papers to make the  shoes .....so the soles and backs of the shoes.... (the ones that have heels) are the flip side of the paper (Coordinating colors and patterns).......All of the papers are K&Company......

For the sole of the blue shoe ...I embossed kraft paper....
For the red shoe I made a heel using wooden disk.......

Ms. Dee, you know I love these shoes. I did try to make them and of course, it didn't work so I have them to the side to try again. I love the styles you came up with but these fingers aren't as crafty as yours so it's going to take some time to get it done! LOL! About signing in to the Village - just use your Ning Network ID to log in. It makes me log in daily so I make it remember the password. :-) You've got to show case these shoes on the Village, girl!
