Tag 12 - 12 Tags of Christmas

Yahoo....I'm doing a "happy" dance......I made it to Tag 12 .....WooooHooooo.......And of course he saved the best for last......Here is Tim's tag...."Amazingly Beautiful".........



And this is my take on Tim's Tag......I am sooo glad that I did this challenge from beginning to end...I learned a lot ......I was inspired in so many ways ....and I enjoyed every single day of all that Tim had to offer.... His  creativity is beyond belief........Way to Go Tim....You should be proud......

Tag 11- 12 Tags of Christmas

Yeah.....a challenge this was.....I went with Tim's Alternate challenge and made the ornaments/gift tags.....I did not have the stamp that Tim used so I decided to go this route....Shrinky dinks are one of my many challenges....So...I was not so happy when I saw that was Tim's challenge...BUT....I wanted to give every technique a try .....I attempted it several times (those holly leaves just didn't want to cooperate...hehe...neither did my branch....).....before I decided to go with the ornaments/tags......

And these are mine......I'm so glad to get Day 11challenge over....but glad that I attempted it....These are mine......Okay....one more day....I'm almost sad to be almost done.......But I now know what techniques I need to go back and try and try again.....(hehe......)

Tag 10- 12 Tags of Christmas

Tag 10-  I'm so proud of me...and totally Wow'd by absolutely all of Tim's creations.  This is an absolutely gorgeous tag.  The techniques used were phenomenal.....Another excellent tag Tim......



And this is my take on Tim's tag.  I did make a mistake and wiped one of the beveled acrylic pieces with some cleaner and it dulled it...So I am going to run out to M's today and see if I can find another package of those beveled acrylics.....Had a lot of fun making this one....And here it is.....  I did not have the christmas reflection stamp .....so I just used another stamp.....The same with the pine leaves  and holly stamp......I think I overdid it  a bit with the glimmer mist....(Hehe...)   On to Tag 11.....

Tag 8 - 12 Tags of Christmas

This is Tim's Tag 8.  He really just keeps 'em coming huh????.....Day 8 and the creativity just keeps flowing.....Great job on the tag Tim...and I so love Steampunk......hehe...



And this is my take on his tag......I just love how he uses so many of his techniques on a tag......Yeah ...I'm obsessed......(hehe..)  Alright...Tag 8 ......Wow...4 more to go......I am actually hanging in there.  .....I am so ready to use all of the techniques that I have tried so far.....ones that I've never tried  before ...and some that I've tried but was applying the technique differently...It's a amazing how much I've learned doing the 12 Tags of Christmas ......Boy, have I enjoyed this challenge.....Okay ....on to the next one........But first ....check out my Tag #8

Tag 7- 12 Tags of Christmas

Okay...Day 7 ...Here is Tim's tag...Absolutely beautiful........Stunning........But.....(Hehe...) The only thing that I have to complete this tag are the baubles and the kraft glassine paper......So...let's see how Tim inspired me......




And this is what I came up with......I used another sentiment......the Sizzix branch and bird die (forgot I had the branch and leaf...could have used that ...oh well,,,,,), I hand cut the holly leaves.....and I used another stamp for the background.....And here it is.....

Tag 5- 12 Tags of Christmas

This is Tim's Tag 5 of his 12 tags of Christmas.  I love his reflection stamps...Unfortunately I do not have his christmas reflections......But...I did give it a go....




And this is my rendition of his tag.......This was a challenge ....and I had a great time making it.....Gotta get that reflection stamp....This would have been less work as I had to use several stamps to make this tag.....But...here goes......My take on Tag 5.......

And my take on his tag.....Talking about technique....He had quite a few on this one that I have to try again.....and get better with it....I did not have his on the edge snow flurries...so I improvised....But here it is....

This is another beauty of Tim's.......Okay....Now I know I need to just be inspired by him ...because copying is just not working for me......So...from now on ...I will just use product and technique ....And show you my spin on his tag as I was so inspired.........So...here is Tim's Tag for Day 3....  Check back to see what I come up with.....




And this is my take on Tag 3.  Now this was truly a challenge because though I have the embossing folder and silhouette stamps I don't have the felt to make the ink pads.....I attempted to do this tecnique without the stamp pad...but failed at each attempt......But it's okay...because this is what I came up with.......Though I did not use the stamps or embossing folders that Tim used...I am happy with the tag I made.....And yes, I have added the felt pad to my list of things to order/buy.......(Hehe....I had fun with this one....)

Day 2- Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas

This is Tim's Tag 2- Day 2 of Tim's 12 tags of christmas. Beautiful huh?????.....  I thought it would be a breeze to try and get the tags done during the weekday once I got off of work.....(I get home about 7:30ish PM...) .....but for me ...not so much....I will not be posting my tags daily...and figured it would be easier for me to post my take on his tags every few days or so.....So .....Check me out periodically to see my take on his tags........

This is Tag 1 of Tim Holtz's  "12 Tags of Christmas".  For instructions to make his tags you must go to his blog.  I will be completing "my take" on this tag tonight.....as I normally do not scrap during the weekdays.....But I'm so pumped to do this...(hehe..)...Don't you just love it already??????...and it is just day 1.....So you know how much more fun and inspiration is to follow.....Make sure you check out how he uses the dies and products for other ideas.....And don't forget to upload a pic on his blog of your completed tag ....AND leave him a comment for a chance to win prizes.....

Okay all of you Tim Holtz fans....Are you ready for the 2011 "12 Tags of Christmas" Inspirational Challenge?......The inspiration starts (Thursday), December 1, 2011 ......Check out Tim's site to enter your tags daily for prizes or to answer any questions you may have about the challenges........I've always enjoyed watching the inspiration and creativity in making these tags....I am excited because after four years of watching this will be the first year that I actually participate...Check back daily to see how I am inspired...maybe you will be inspired to participate also.....
