"Winter Wonderland" Card- Sheer Fabric

Okay, I saw this fabric and thought that it was too pretty to pass up....I decided to use it on Layouts and/or cards....I made this card using the fabric and a few other embellishment (such as mirrors, diamond gems, silver/white sheer ribbon, and zig zag stitching) to give it a winter wonderland look......I also used blue and silver Metallic Poster board so that the sheer fabric would "POP"....."Winter Wonderland " is computer generated....

MS Branch Punch- Mandyferg Inspired Card

I got this idea from Mandyferg from the Cricut MB...She did such a splendid job with hers....I wanted to give it a try.....Isn't it cute....Thanks again Mandy......

"Explosion" card

This is my take on the "Explosion card.......I saw this on You-Tube....This was a video and it was made by Dawn...... Thanks Dawn....The card was very easy to make and the video was very easy to follow.....Thanks again for sharing......

"Friends Are Flowers"- "Pop-up" card

This is my first attempt at the "Popup" card......The first view of the card lays flat ( this one is not quite lying flat...but you get the idea) and inserts into a envelope. I had planned to create more ....but somewhere through my weekend....I kind of got lost in creating other stuff......I have not posted the directions for these because when I first created this card, the dimensions were not exact and I had to alter them....I will recreate it and write the dimensions for the card later....TFL....

This is going to be my last card..... this week..unless.... of course, I can find the time to make one when I get home from work, but I doubt it....It's normally rather late and then the "creative juices" are just not flowing (long day) ...I notice that I make sketches or search the web for ideas when I cannot create....Sooooo...I guess I will be sketching and searching ....Okay...So this is the last card from the "New" Embossing folders....(Bird Call)......(that I will create this week). I have so many ideas floating around in my head.....and so little time to do them...(Can you say "RETIREMENT"????.....I wish)....I did want to use "all" of the Embossing folders and borders this weekend, but that did not happen.....I think this is only the 5th one that I was able to use.....Well....when I return from Savannah, Georgia...I will create a few more.....Here goes...Hope you all like it....

I did not get very much done today. I have so much that I want to do and my mind is constantly going--and I have not taken the time to sit down and jot anything down....I need to take a moment to breathe.....

I am not accomplishing much and this weekend I have a very "BIG" list of things to complete....I know that I will get some things done, but right now it does not feel like it.......After all the things that I wanted to do, this is the one thing that I did complete....(or did I?????) I keep looking at it , thinking, "is there something else that I need to do with this card set"? So....... I will just set it aside until I decide whether I am finished with it........But you can take a peek.....HeHE....(I even included instructions......)

This card set can hold up to 10 cards and envelopes. I only made 5 cards and the envelopes are store bought. This is NOT even a part of my Weekend Challenge..... I hope I get that done by the weekend...... (haha......)

Supplies
1 sheet of 8.5" x 11" cardstock
Paper Trimmer
Scoring Blade/tool
Long Reach hole punch/eyelet setter
Papers & Stamps for decorating
Ribbon- about 18 "

Instructions

Step 1: Holding cardstock with longest side horizontal, score at 5" & 6"

Step 2: Turn paper so long side is vertical and score at 2" and 2.5"

Step 3. Cut out the shaded area (see below) (or cut score lines and fold back to 2.5" line .)


Step 4: cover your card holder with papers or stamps (as desired).
Step 5: Cut (2) pieces of paper at 10.5" x 2".
Step 6: Score both strips at 5" & 5.5.".
Step 7: Fold up the bottom two flaps of holder and adhere one strip of paper to first inside flap and around the front. Adhere the other strip to the other flap and around the back of the holder

Using a card (size that will go in the holder) punch a hole/eyelet on both sides of the card.



Step 9: Run ribbon through holes starting from the right side hole on the front and go to next hole weaving in and out AS SHOWN ABOVE.
