Top Note card using Storybook Cart

Okay....Several of the ladies were attending a crop this past weekend....and sent us some of their projects they completed at workshops/make and takes, etc. Stampin' Up has a new Top Notecard Die, but we did not have it ....so for this challenge we "improvised" .....using the Storybook cart......Thank you, Lisa, for sharing with us this past weekend and for allowing us to use your worshop project as one of "The Sista" challenges. Here is my take on the Top Notecard....TFL..

• Cut 2- 5" Once Upon A time/Accent Blackout (or cut 3)
• Leave (1)- original size
• Cut - (1) - into 2 pieces......1/4-top - use 3/4 piece for bottom

If you use double-sided-(DS), Printed paper(PP)- it will match perfectly*****

• Cut about 1/4" off each side of the 1/4 piece so that it fits nicely on the card.
• score top of both cards 1/4' to make pockets..for tags...

My Very First "Altered Mailbox"- For a Boy

So...I finally made a mailbox....I decided to make the "boys" mailbox first because I always seem to make my DGD's things first and then I am stuck and cannot figure what to do to change the gender of it.......So I think I have this one down.....I really don't have to change the colors....but I really thought these colors worked well for a boy......What do you think....Did I get it right?????

"Autumn Days"-Brayer Technique

Okay.....this is a "first attempt" with the brayer technique.....I am still playing around with it...but I think I need something else to compare it to. I have googled the tecnique a couple of times, but I am finding that each person does the technique somewhat differently. I used Colorbox ink pads, the brayer and sea sponges......I have to figure out the fading and use something else,(like flowers or an ocean scene), and maybe I will get the hang of it. I am not totally dissapointed in this "first attempt", but I do know I will continue to do this technique until I somewhat "perfect it..."......Oh well, I had fun with it anyway.......
