February 2012 "Colors of Love" Tag Swap

I participated in the "Scrappy Style Swaps" Tag Swap.  The theme for the swap were hearts.  We had to make 2 tags and the colors were reds/pinks.  I used  Youtuber SaCrafters corrugated cardboard technique to make the window frames.  The tags were made using TH tag die....Spellbinders Dies  (hearts) and pepsi cans.  The hearts were dyed with TH Red Pepper Alcohol inks and embossed with embossing folders.  The tags are due February 11.  TFL...

And my take on his tag.....Talking about technique....He had quite a few on this one that I have to try again.....and get better with it....I did not have his on the edge snow flurries...so I improvised....But here it is....

Okay all of you Tim Holtz fans....Are you ready for the 2011 "12 Tags of Christmas" Inspirational Challenge?......The inspiration starts (Thursday), December 1, 2011 ......Check out Tim's site to enter your tags daily for prizes or to answer any questions you may have about the challenges........I've always enjoyed watching the inspiration and creativity in making these tags....I am excited because after four years of watching this will be the first year that I actually participate...Check back daily to see how I am inspired...maybe you will be inspired to participate also.....

This is sure to be great fun...........It would also be a great time to learn either "new" techniques....or never before used techniques that Tim will be using......Or you can use a lot of his dies, embellies or Cardstock Stash you purchased throughout the year .....but have not yet used them...........I'm really excited to be participating this year ...(as I mentioned before).......

ATC's, Tags and Bookmarks........

I just started using this technique a few weeks ago. Thanks Myrab and ScrapCheryl. I have to thank them because had they not challenged me to do ATC cards, bookmarks, tags or a swap ....I would still be looking at their's - oooing and aaaawing and promising myself...."One day"...yep..."one day" ...I'm going to try these. Well, I am so happy I tried this technique...Even found some ATC stamps "Asian Art" ...and I love, love , love them......Got about 8 different bottles of Tim Holtz Crackled Paint. You can create the tags, ATC's and bookmarks to go with anything that you make...place them in cards....Give them away as a little "token" of appreciate. Yeah...(So I need to make plenty to keep on hand...)....and I really enjoyed making them. It's like doing a card ...just a smaller version. I had fun with these. Since I started using this technique, I joined an "ATC Swap". I'm really looking forward to that......TFL....
