January 2012 "Winter Wonderland" Charm Swap

I participated in Lia's (aka "Scrapsation) "Winter Wonderland" Charm Swap.  The theme, of course, was a winter theme.  We had to use blue, silver/greys and white.  We had to make 3 tags and they are due January 31....Of course we have a birthday this month,,,,so I made 4.  I used DCWV "Winter Magic" paper stack, TH Snowman die, a stamp heat embossed with A La Mode embossing powder, and added ribbon and fibers to make the presentation.  I also adhered the charms that I made to trinkets that I took off of a candle holder.  This was fun and TFL....

"Diamonds and Pearls"- Charm Swap

I am participating in a charm Swap on Stampin Dymonz blog site sponsored by Lia and the theme for September is "Diamonds and Pearls".....I could not wait to make these charms.....I kind of knew I would use Diamonds and Pearls (ahhh... hence the "theme"...)...but this was also only my second time making charms....so ...Yeah...I was a bit excited.....and the other ladies that are participating ....well...lets just say the  charms that I saw thus far are "striking"..........So ..I knew I had my work cut out for me.......No sweat here though.........I just had fun with it....and this is what I came up with........"Diamonds and Pearls"....As critical as i am of my own work.....I actually liked the end results of this charm .......I intended to do a couple of other things to the presentation (top note card) ....but....I  ran out of time...Had to get the package in the mail.......But was very pleased with the end results.....My jumpring opener/closure is really working well for me........I plan to make me one.........once I go and get more Swarouski Crystals......TFL

I was so inspired from all of the youtube videos I watched with the creations of the Steampunk canvases.....I had to make me one......I just know I will be making more......Go check some of them out.........This is my take on the canvas.........I had loads of fun making this.......
